Paso Robles Painting Retreat
Paint in beautiful Central Coast Wine Country
What and how we will be painting:
I did a painting trip to this area a while back and was super inspired by the landscapes between Paso Robles and Cambria. I also had a friend years ago who lived near here and took me painting in the area. There is so much to paint! I call it "back country". As a coastal painter, you don't have to go very far inland for the scenery to change and to see a beautifully different landscape emerge. This will be the subject of our paintings. We will paint one day indoors, from photo reference that I will provide (scenes of the area). The second day we will paint outdoors using a method I call "easing into plein air (outdoor painting) and by that I mean you need not have any experience painting outdoors to participate.
October 23 & 24, 2024
Two Days of Painting instruction with Wade Koniakowsky at Croad Vineyards.
October 23 - 11am -3pm, Indoor painting from local reference provided by Wade.
October 24 - 11am - 3pm, Outdoor painting on the grounds of Croad Vineyards.
A light lunch will be provided both days, as well as a glass of Croad Vineyards wine.
A supply list will be provided after you sign up. Acrylics, Oils and Watercolor are all acceptable mediums for these workshops.
Accommodations:
Stay two nights (Oct 22 & 23) at The Ranch House (reserve room through us, see below), or at The Inn at Croad Vineyards, depending on space availability. Or find other accommodations in the area.
